Chamber Committee Descriptions
Chamber members are invited to get more out of their membership by participating with a Committee. Feel free to attend one of the regularly scheduled meetings to see if it’s a good fit for you. You are encouraged to contact the Chamber office 715.483.3580 to confirm the date / time / location of each of these meetings and to let our staff know you’re planning to attend. We welcome your interest and participation!

The Membership / Program Committee meets every third Tuesday of the month at 1 pm at the Chamber office. The purpose of the Committee is to promote new and ongoing membership in the Chamber. The Committee works with staff to develop strategies to increase members, promotes membership with door-to-door visits to businesses and potential members; chooses a Falls Chamber Business of the Month, checks in with members on renewals and looks for ways to increase member retention and the benefits of membership. Additionally the Committee helps to plan and implement all programs during the year, taking a lead role in selecting topics and speakers, and recruiting individuals for presentations on appropriate and current business issues. With responsibilities ranging from development of new events to analyzing their effectiveness, the committee works with Chamber staff to design, market and implement these initiatives.
The Ambassador Committee meets every third Tuesday of the month at 11:30 am at rotating Chamber member restaurants. It is the purpose of the Ambassadors, as representatives of the business community and on behalf of the Falls Chamber, to act as a visible arm of the Chamber by promoting and increasing communications and member feedback and hosting and participating in Chamber public relation events such as ribbon cutting ceremonies, BA5, the Annual Meeting and all fundraising activities. The Fundraising / Marketing Committee meets monthly and is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to raise additional funds to support Chamber strategic goals, objectives and activities. They also prepare and oversee the annual marketing and advertising budget and communications projects, including the website and social marketing.
Board of Directors Executive Committee is responsible for contracts, 501C.6 (IRS not-for-profit code) mandates, Executive Director oversight and evaluation and policy development. Includes BOD President, Vice President and Treasurer. Meets monthly or as needed.
Falls Chamber Ambassador Committee
Now in it’s third year, Ambassadors act as the membership outreach branch of the Chamber. They promote communications and member feedback and host Chamber public relation events such as; Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies, Membership Meetings and Business After 5 (BA5), among others.
The Ambassador Committee supports the Chamber’s mission: “To advocate, promote and support business members and our communities” and typically meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am at a Chamber restaurant. Please check the Chamber calendar for confirmation of the time and location of the meetings each month.
